The Grocery Store

Well, I guess Ava thinks that now when we go to the grocery store she needs to pose for a picture.

We went yesterday to pick up some stuff for MOPS last night and in the middle of the produce section I find her sitting on a bail of hay and leaning toward me saying, "take my picture mom".
I started laughing, didn't have my camera and then remembered my cell phone has a camera on it. That picture will be posted after I find the cord to connect it.  I will have to admit it is cute.

On a more serious note, my aunt Carolyn has had her third stroke in two weeks.  She is at a hospital in Dallas and we will go see her tonight after Dustin gets off work.  We are supposed to have "the talk" when I get there.  "The talk" refers to discussing living arrangements, car privileges and so on.  The unbearable realities a geriatric faces when independence teeters on the cliff and dependency/assisted living is the unwelcoming tap on the shoulder.
I love how most of my friends are getting to hear the stories their parents are telling about how hard it is to take care of ailing parents....ha!  Their parents life is my life.  I will be able to comfort my mom with her parents as I have already traveled this road.
I am a 28 year old living as a 50 year old.  I wouldn't change it, but wow how much perspective is acquired.  My lenses to life sure have changed over the course of four years.  I know it doesn't matter how long we live; it just matters what we do with the time we do have.
